Adjustable Desks: A Novel Approach to fight obesity in the classroom

A school in in Minnesota has come up with a novel idea to get children moving in the classroom, an adjustable desk. Great for fidgety children, I know I would have loved them!
The teacher Abby Brown feels that if the kids are able to move, they may perform better in their studies.
By using adjustable tables the children can either choose to sit or stand depending on how they feel.
The adjustable tables were designed by none other than Ms. Brown herself with the help of a local ergonomic furniture maker.
The desks could be a great way to fight against childhood obesity in a very simple way and can have some fun doing it.

  1. Great idea!!Reminds me of what a 'health conscious' CEO back in India had once envisioned for his employees-exercycle instead of the chairs. That way, they could work-out while working!!
