Caramel Panna Cotta

I made my first panna cotta a couple of weeks ago, hats of to blogging for continuing to inspire me to make new things. I adore creme caramel so I figured why not combine the two :-)

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup (240 ml) whole milk
  • 1/2 packet unflavored powdered gelatin
  • 1 1/2 cups of cream
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • about 2/3 cup of sugar
  • 1/3 cup of water

Directions:
  1. heat the water and add the sugar stirring all the while, slowly increase the heat till its boiling after about 5 minutes it will start to brown remove from heat and add to the bottom of 4 ramekins
  2. add milk to a bowl and sprinkle gelatin over the milk allowing it to dissolve and stand for 5 minutes
  3. add milk to the saucepan and heat but not boiling, about 3 minutes.
  4. add the cream, honey, sugar, and pinch of salt, stir and make sure it doesn't boil for about 5-7 minutes
  5. remove from heat, pour into ramekins or any desired container, let it cool then put in fridge over night
  6. carefully remove from ramekin and enjoy :-)
This would be a wonderful dessert to make for a dinner party as it can be made ahead of time and will surely wow your guests :-)

So who's made panna cotta and what kind did you make?, I want idea's for next time he he
