Tuna Poke Bowl

This is something we have enjoyed from restaurants but after hubby and the kids did a sushi class with a chef in Japan on sushi making, we made this with the extra sushi grade tuna we had. By the way air b and b has some great cooking lessons under experiences my son also did one with a lady in Nice making French apple crepes I have included a clip below to make you smile.

This would make a fun packed lunch also.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of sushi rice, cooked
  • one tablespoon of mirin
  • any chopped vegetables in season, we used tomatoes, cucumber, micro greens, sliced avocado (about 1-2 avocados depending on how many bowls you are making)
  • grated carrot
  • rice seasoning that contains seaweed this can be found in Asian stores
  • sushi grade fish
Method:

  1. Cook the sushi rice and allow it to cool, then mix in the mirin.
  2. add the rice to the bowl and top with the tuna and any desired vegetables, top with the rice seasoning and a little soy sauce if desired.

What new dish have you made recently?

Hope you are all staying safe and well, hugs
